Therapist Websites That Build Trust at First Click

Your site should do more than look pretty — it should sound like you, work for you, and help clients find you.

Our Approach to Therapist Web Design

Your website is often a client’s first impression of your work — a digital reflection of the calm, safety, and clarity you create in session.

At Therapist Bestie, we design therapist websites that balance beauty and strategy: intuitive to navigate, emotionally grounded, and written with connection in mind. Every decision—from colors and fonts to copy flow and page structure—is made to help potential clients feel, “This therapist gets me.”

We focus on:

  • Accessibility & Emotional Tone

Calming colors, easy-to-read text, and layouts that feel safe and grounded.

  • Copy Hierarchy

Strategic placement of headlines, body text, and calls to action to gently guide visitors toward inquiry.

  • Therapist-Aligned Aesthetics

Visuals that reflect your clinical style and values—warm, modern, and professional, never salesy.

  • SEO Integration

Each design is built with ethical SEO structure to support long-term visibility.

Foundations in Action

Therapist Sites and Systems We’ve Helped Build

Before we helped other therapists build visibility through Foundations, we tested and refined the process in our own practices. Since then, we’ve partnered with clinicians across niches and stages—refining established brands, building new practices from the ground up, and helping therapists transition to fully cash-pay models.

Here are a few examples of what’s possible when strategy, copy, and design work together with clarity and intention:

Featured Project: The Unbothered Therapist

Project Focus: Therapy for Black women navigating burnout, self-worth, and life transitions.

What We Helped With: Optimized her Therapy for Black Girls directory listing for clarity, keywords, and conversion. Refined website copy and structure to guide visitors smoothly toward inquiry and booking. Developed a visibility strategy built around lead magnets, blog content, and SEO. Created messaging and assets to support her transition toward a cash-pay practice model.

Result: “Working with Miranda has been so transformative! Her guidance around my website, social media, branding, and overall business strategy has taken what I’ve already learned and elevated it to the next level. What truly sets her apart is her generosity—she is not a gatekeeper. She openly shares her expertise, provides actionable advice, and offers resources that make the process feel so seamless."

Featured Project: Lorrie Bertrand Therapy

Project Focus: Therapy for women navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions, represented through a calm, cohesive brand and website that reflect her warmth and professionalism.

What We Helped With: Collaborated with Lorrie to design her brand and website from the ground up, establishing a strong visual identity and message that feel true to her clinical style. Built her custom Therapist Bestie GPT to help her generate future blogs and marketing materials in her own voice. Developed a visibility plan that included 24 scheduled blogs, a lead magnet, and an email nurture sequence to grow her list and maintain consistent engagement.

Result: “My website has been getting way more views than my previous site, which is exciting!”

Before we built Foundations for others, we built it for ourselves.

The original Foundations success story — Therapist Miranda Campbell’s site and strategy became the blueprint for how we now help other therapists build visibility that sustains itself.

Featured Project: Therapist Miranda Campbell

Project Focus: Therapy for adults navigating anxiety, trauma recovery, and relationship patterns — with a focus on creating a grounded, transparent online presence that attracts self-pay clients aligned with her clinical style.

What We Helped With: Built and optimized her website, blog strategy, and brand visibility system using the same Foundations process offered to clients today. Created lead magnets, automated email sequences, and consistent blog content to grow organic reach and build trust with potential clients. Tested and refined the Foundations visibility framework through her own practice — including SEO, storytelling, and referral pathways.

Result: Generated over 150 new client inquiries in 2025, transitioned from an insurance-dependent model to a premium-fee, fully cash-pay practice, and continues to book steady inquiries through organic search, lead magnets, and content marketing.

Other Past Projects

Therapist website design for Yang Yang, LCSW – calm, minimalist layout for anxiety and cross-cultural therapy.

Yang Yang, LCSW Inclusive Therapy for Healing & Self-Acceptance in California

Yang’s site needed to communicate what his work embodies: warmth, safety, and genuine connection. Together, we created a design that feels human and grounded—balancing vibrant imagery and heartfelt copy with a layout that’s intuitive and accessible.

The color palette and typography reflect Yang’s inclusive approach while keeping the experience clean and client-friendly. Every choice from the affirming headline to the “Let’s Begin” button—was designed to help visitors feel seen, welcome, and ready to reach out.

Result: A site that resonates immediately with diverse clients seeking authenticity and belonging—inviting them into therapy with clarity and comfort

Therapist website design for Healing Through Melody Wellness – one-page site for therapy for Black women.

Healing Through Melody Wellness — Therapy for Black Women Who Want to Heal in Their Own Way

This project began as a starter site for a therapist launching her first private practice. The goal: create an online space that felt peaceful, empowering, and approachable—without requiring a full-scale rebrand or extensive content buildout.

We designed a one-page site that centers her niche clearly: helping Black women heal in ways that feel right to them. Every element, from the warm imagery to the grounding headline font, reflects her calm yet confident clinical presence.

By focusing on clarity, accessibility, and an authentic voice, we created a professional foundation she can grow with over time—proof that even a simple site can make a powerful first impression

How We Design

We don’t start with templates — we start with you.

Every site begins with a Kickoff Sprint to clarify your message, niche, and tone. From there, we translate that clarity into design choices that feel true to your work.

Our process integrates:

  1. Brand Tone & Message Mapping – identifying your voice and visual direction.

  2. Copy Refinement & Layout Strategy – organizing each page for ease, emotion, and SEO.

  3. Collaborative Design – real-time feedback cycles so you’re involved, not overwhelmed.

  4. Launch Support & SEO Setup – guidance on next steps to stay visible and confident after going live.

Sometimes the most powerful transformations happen when we refine what already exists.

This therapist came to us with a beautifully designed Wix site created by another designer — but she was ready to take her online presence further. Together, we’re transitioning her site to Squarespace and optimizing every element for private-pay visibility, readability, and SEO performance.

The focus of this refresh is on clarity and conversion: refining her layout, strengthening messaging, and creating a smoother user experience without losing the heart of her original brand.

Note: This project is currently in progress; secondary pages are still being developed.

Client Feedback (During Phase 1):

“Thank you so much for this — it’s looking great! I love what you did with the design; it’s easier to read and looks so well integrated. I am so grateful!”

Ready to Build a Site That Feels Like You?

Most therapists spend thousands upfront on a website that looks nice—but doesn’t convert or grow with them.

The Foundations Subscription works differently: you get strategic, ongoing support in design, copy, and SEO for a fraction of that cost each month—so your marketing foundation evolves as your practice does.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All website work is done through our Foundations subscription.

That’s intentional. We’ve found that the best results happen when website design, copy, SEO, and strategy live in the same place — not as one-off projects. Foundations allows us to build or refine your site thoughtfully, then continue optimizing it as your practice grows.

  • Depending on your goals and plan level, website work inside Foundations can include:

    • Page structure and layout strategy

    • Client-centered copywriting

    • SEO-friendly headings and page flow

    • Visual refinement (fonts, colors, imagery guidance)

    • Directory and booking integration

    • Ongoing optimization after launch

  • Absolutely. Many therapists come to us with an existing site.

    We often:

    • Refresh copy without changing the overall look

    • Reorganize pages for clarity and conversion

    • Migrate sites to Squarespace when needed

    • Optimize what’s already working instead of rebuilding from scratch

Sometimes the most powerful work is refinement, not reinvention.

  • Yes — thoughtfully and ethically.

Our work helps therapists communicate the value of their work clearly, which is a key part of attracting private-pay clients. This includes:

    • Niche clarity

    • Copy that speaks to fit, not urgency

    • Websites and directories that set clear expectations

We don’t use pressure-based marketing. We help the right clients understand why your work is worth investing in.

  • It depends on your goals and plan level, but most therapists begin seeing:

    • Clearer messaging within the first month

    • Increased confidence sharing their site or profile

    • More aligned inquiries as visibility builds

Foundations is designed for steady, sustainable progress, not overnight spikes.

  • Most web designers focus on how a site looks.

    We focus on:

    • How it sounds

    • How it feels to potential clients

    • How clearly it communicates your value

    • How it supports long-term visibility and growth

You’re not just getting a website — you’re getting an ongoing partner who understands therapy, marketing, and ethical visibility.
